AM today leaving Cala de Finestrat in favour of Cap Negret, which is hosting its third international seniors' congress.

I have entered the 65+, which has 99 players from 19 countries, and there is a junior tournament (50+), which has 46 players from 13 countries.

Both events start tomorrow, and are nine rounds over nine days, six with 16:30 starts and three at 10:00.

The time control is 90 minutes, with a 30-second increment.

I will be leaving the Benidorm area, where chess on the beach seems an everyday occurrence
