Capital Idea

EARLY Kraków was supposedly terrorised by a dragon that had to be appeased by giving it cattle.
Despite Kraków at the time being Poland's capital, there was apparently no knight willing to take the risk of confronting the beast.
But eventually, so the legend goes, King Krak's sons killed the dragon by fooling it into eating cows stuffed with sulphur.
Everyone agreed this was a clever stratagem, although I do not expect the cows were so enthusiastic.
This statue of the dragon belches flames every three minutes or so
