THIS morning I was crushed by grandmaster Nigel Davies in a game in which material was level almost to the end, but which for the majority of the game I was either losing or at least very much worse.
This afternoon, in round two of the South Wales International, the boot was on the other foot as, despite being a pawn down for most of the game against a 1593, I was actually winning from the point the pawn was won.
Tomorrow, in round three at 5pm, I have black against a 2065 (ECF193), so a much more even proposition ...
