MY score of +5=1-3 in the 31st Bad Bertrich Chess Days, for players born before 1976, gained 40.6 Fide elo, and won me the U2000 second rating prize of 160 euros.
I begin this blog after getting back into league chess following many years' absence due to work. My post-job status also means I am able to play more tournament chess. My new club in London is Battersea and my first game for them is on Thursday September 14, 2017. I start with a Fide rating of 1858, an ECF grade of 169 (=1968 elo) and an ICCF correspondence rating of 2267. My current Fide is 1913, my ECF is 1904 and my ICCF is 2330.
Congrats! A very good tournament.also some high level games.
ReplyDeleteProbably my best tournament for about three years. I felt during the games I was understanding more - but still lots of mistakes and suboptimal choices. Two of my biggest sins are a lack of a sense of danger, and playing too quickly - both possibly due to overconfidence.
DeleteA bit less of both sins will do the job I gues.its nice that you enter the 2000 again.
ReplyDeleteNot so fast - I make it my August Fide will be 1982
