Crete Expectations

AM making final preparations for flying to Crete tomorrow for the European senior team championships.

I will be playing for England 3 in the 65+, which has 18 teams, and there is a 50+ with 14 teams.

In each event there are nine rounds over nine days, with each match starting at 15:00, played over four boards.

Teams consist of four players, or four plus a reserve, the only stipulation being that all members of a team must be registered with a single federation.

The time control is 40 moves in 90 minutes, with 30 minutes to finish, and a 30-second increment throughout.
