BEAU CHESS - the post-work workings-out of a chess amateur

I begin this blog after getting back into league chess following many years' absence due to work. My post-job status also means I am able to play more tournament chess. My new club in London is Battersea and my first game for them is on Thursday September 14, 2017. I start with a Fide rating of 1858, an ECF grade of 169 (=1968 elo) and an ICCF correspondence rating of 2267. My current Fide is 2003, my ECF is 1940 and my ICCF is 2362.

Multi-Millionaire!

AT some point today my blog passed two million hits, and, as I type this, has reached 2,051,031 hits.

However, there is apparently no way of discovering how many of these views are by humans, and how many by bots.

Nevertheless, the figure looks impressive, especially when compared with the 183,062 hits for my other main blog, 10mm and all that!

And my third blog, Chess Tip Of The Day, which is really just a feeder blog for the PC/laptop version of Beau Chess, has just 18,561 hits, albeit it has been going for a much shorter period.

At the rate hits are coming, three million might not be so long away!
