ARRIVED in the Devon port of Exmouth this afternoon for the 20th Royal Beacon seniors congress.
It consists of two tournaments, one for players aged 65+ and one for those aged 50+.
Each tournament lasts five rounds over five days, with a somewhat old-fashioned time control of 40 moves in 2hrs followed by the remaining moves in 1hr.
Unfortunately, as far as I can discover, no list of entries has been published, either online or at the venue, which is the town's Royal Beacon Hotel.
