Heathrow Terminal 2 was, if anything, even easier - from my flight touching down to getting through customs, collecting my luggage and joining an Underground train, just 25 minutes passed.
I begin this blog after getting back into league chess following many years' absence due to work. My post-job status also means I am able to play more tournament chess. My new club in London is Battersea and my first game for them is on Thursday September 14, 2017. I start with a Fide rating of 1858, an ECF grade of 169 (=1968 elo) and an ICCF correspondence rating of 2267. My current Fide is 2012, my ECF is 1965 and my ICCF is 2325.

Well done Tim. I hope my return to Terminal 5 goes as smoothly as yours to Terminal 2. My next outings are undecided. I’m organising three Kent team to play on three Saturdays in the ECF’s Summer Tournament. The only chess I’ve definitely fixed is the ACO’s Seniors back at the Fodele in Crete from 1 October 2021 when we’re expecting nineteen to travel from the UK - if they don’t get inconveniently pinged at the wrong moment!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm sure you all know how to avoid getting pinged ...
