Numbers are down to 216, mainly as a result of the German equivalent of social distancing (there were 282 players when the congress was last held in 2020, at the start of the covid pandemic, and just under 400 in 2019).
There are three tournaments: open, U2000 and seniors. I am seeded second in the U2000, but will need to step it up if I am to achieve anything as I have gone seven games without a win.
