It is being held at the university-city's Flora hotel, consisting of nine rounds over eight days, with most starting at 16:00, except for 09:00 rounds on Sunday and the second Saturday.
The time control is 40 moves in 90 minutes, with 30 minutes to finish, and a 30-second increment from move one.
There are 87 entrants, according to the list at the CzechTour website, which also has details of other events being held simultaneously, including round-robin norm tournaments.
