BEAU CHESS - the post-work workings-out of a chess amateur

I begin this blog after getting back into league chess following many years' absence due to work. My post-job status also means I am able to play more tournament chess. My new club in London is Battersea and my first game for them is on Thursday September 14, 2017. I start with a Fide rating of 1858, an ECF grade of 169 (=1968 elo) and an ICCF correspondence rating of 2267. My current Fide is 1902, my ECF is 1913 and my ICCF is 2277.

December Sunshine Chess

AM making final preparations for flying to Alicante tomorrow for the annual chess festival at the Gran Hotel Bali.

I have entered the U2000, which has 325 entries, including 10 from England and five from Scotland.

There are nine rounds over eight days, with six rounds starting at 14:30 and three at 10:00.

The time control is 90 minutes for all moves, with a 30-second increment throughout.

I play an seven round in Bad Bertrich (Ger) it start sunday,entries as far 21.Its in a small place in a valley.played here before in 2017 and is a good stay there.regards Stef
