I did not mean it in a pejorative sense - it was certainly more welcoming than dismal Budapest, although admittedly my stay in the Hungarian capital was dominated by cloudy skies and rain.
Sweet teeth are especially welcome in the old town - this Candy Miners shop is almost next-door to a store called Captain Candy |
It is based on the premise that sweets are dug out of mines by dwarfs, so the inside of the shop, which boasts "free entry," is fitted out like a mine, with mini-trains and wagons full of highly coloured candy.
A fun spectacle for the young and young-at-heart.
