The tournament is open to anyone born before 1970, but only those born before 1965 can become Upper Franconian senior champion.
There are nine rounds over nine days, starting tomorrow at 14:30 with subsequent rounds at 09:00.
The time control is 40 moves in 100 minutes, followed by 30 minutes to finish, with a 30-second increment throughout.
