British 65+ Round Four

Gerald Moore (2128 ECF/2057 Fide) - Spanton (1919 ECF/1928 Fide)
QGD Semi-Tarrasch
1.c4 e6 2.Nc3 d5 3.d4 Nf6 4.Nf3 c5 5.cxd5 cxd4!? 6.Qxd4 exd5 7.Bg5
The mainline in ChessBase's 2024 Mega database runs 7.e4!? dxe4 8.Qxd8+ Kxd8 9.Ng5 Be6 10.Nxe6+ fxe6 11.Bg5, with a slight edge for White, according to Dragon1, although Stockfish16.1 calls the position equal.
7...Be7 8.e3 Nc6 9.Bb5 0-0 10.Qd2 Be6 11.0-0 Ne4!? 12.Nxe4 dxe4 13.Qxd8 Bxd8 14.Bxd8
How should Black proceed?

14...Rfxd8?!
The engines prefer 14...exf3, claiming complete equality.
15.Bxc6 bxc6 16.Nd4 Bd5 17.Rfc1 Rab8?!
This probably only encourages White to play a useful move. The engines give 17...h5, and if 18.Nxc6 Bxc6 19.Rxc6 they reckon 19...Rd2 provides decent compensation, albeit preferring White.
18.b3 Rdc8?!
Almost certainly better is 18...Rb6.
19.Rc5 Rb7 20.Rac1 Rbc7 21.b4!? Bxa2 22.Nxc6 Kf8?
The engines much prefer 22...Ra8 23.Nxa7! Rxc5 24.Rxc5 Be6, although they reckon White is winning.
23.Nxa7 Rxc5 24.bxc5 Ra8 25.Nb5 Ke7
The engines suggest 25...Be6, but White has 26.Nc7 etc.
26.Nc3 Ke6
Even worse is 26...f5? 27.Ra1.
27.Nxe4 Rc8 28.f3 h6 29.Kf2 f5 30.Nd6 Rc7 31.Ke2 Rc6 32.Kd3 Kd5? 33.Nxf5 Rxc5 1-0
