MY room at the Fodele Beach Resort includes a set of electronic scales, so I intend weighing myself each morning to check the effects of all-inclusive living.
Meanwhile, this morning I received the following missive from chess organiser Clarence Psaila about a promising-looking tournament in Malta:
I am pleased to announce the XYChess Summer Open this 4th - 10th September!
The tournament will take place at the Kennedy Nova hotel in Gzira - right by the seafront in the best area!
It will be a 7 round Swiss system with games scheduled at 2pm to allow you to enjoy both mornings in the summer sunshine and the beautiful Maltese evenings after the game.
I have already made a test tournament at this hotel earlier and can confirm that they have excellent Covid safety measures which allows us to enjoy in a relaxed way whilst having peace of mind.
